1 – LES JEUDIS DU PIANO
Set in the prestigious surroundings of the Palais de l’Athénée, this musical season provides an audience to five young pianists, at the beginning of their careers. Acting as a genuine springboard to the professional world, “les Jeudis du piano” is a competition which occurs during the recital itself. Two awards are granted: one by the jury and one by the public. The two laureates receive prizes which include both a money component and a concerts component. “Les Jeudis du piano” have entered into many partnerships with Festivals such as “Le Festival des Serres d’Auteuil – Solistes de Bagatelle” in Paris, “Piano à St. Ursanne”, the Festival of Gstaad, or la “Tribune des Jeunes Musiciens” on the Swiss radio channel Espace2. The “Jeudis du piano” are in their fifteenth edition.
2 – LES MUSICALES DE COMPESIERES
This Musical Season was set up to promote the magical site of Compesières, with its “Commanderie” (historic building) and its Church, and to bring a high-end and very professional programme to the Geneva countryside. The Season consists of three sessions of three concerts each, spread during the months of November, March and May. It showcases soloists (young and confirmed), Chamber Music and Oratorios. As of the Season 2014-2015, the Musicales de Compesières will host a young orchestral group in Residence, for three years, the Camerata du Léman. This will be the 8th edition of the Musicales de Compesières.
